The Presidential Commissioner for the United Nations, Miguel Pizarro, blamed Nicolas Maduro’s dictatorship for the high rates of poverty throughout the country.

“According to data from ENCOVI 96.2% of the Venezuelan population is in a condition of poverty,” said Pizarro through a message on his official Twitter account.

Furthermore, the Venezuelan diplomat recalled today, International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, that this reality affects dozens of countries and Venezuela is one of them.

“We must fight to put an end to Poverty”, he ended.
